NSE Racing History
After not having much success as a driver Robert Hill decided in Late summer of 2011 Hill decided to open the doors to his own race shop under the name of Hill Motorsports. Robert Hill and Will Wolf were behind the wheel of the #11 and #17 Canadian Tire Ford's in the CASCOR Canadian Tire Series. Prior to the last race of the season Will Wolf was replaced as the driver of the #17 by New Hampshire Modified driver Matt Riley. On October 3rd,2011 Matt claimed Hill Motorsports first victory by taking the checkers at Kawartha. The Following season under new name Northern Motorsports Matt claimed Northern's first Championship by winning 8 Victories that season while Owner Robert Hill took the rookie of the year honours.
In November of 2011 Robert Hill inked Cascor League Owner Mike Husby to pilot a Street Stock for the team as they made their move to iRacing. With Robert Hill on the spotters stand and Mike Husby behind the wheel Northern Motorsports won their iRacing debut race on November 30th,2011 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Husby would go on to win 3 Races that season while claiming the Owners Championship and Rookie of the Year Honours. Husby also took home Northern's First Truck Series Win by taking the checkers at Texas to put a cap on Northern's Debut iRacing Season. The Following Season the team put their foot in a door where it was not welcome and that is the RMP Cup Series. With multiple upsetting races this season Northern Motorsports drivers have lost much of their faith in their Cup capabilities and most will move to the Nationwide Series next season.
As part of the 2013 Season Rebuild Northern Motorsports has rebranded to NSE Racing, Will make MANY changes and has ended their affiliation with OToole Motorsports.
